Home loan complaints rise

Complaints against banks by home loan borrowers rose by 12.3% last year amid a rising number of declined applications, according to the Banking Ombudsman Scheme.   Wednesday, September 18th 2019 per article in TMM 

 

Comment: If customers come to before resorting to the dispute procedure, we are often able to engineer a solution. With proper presentation of a proposal with the right information in the right format, we can mostly get approvals at cutomers own bank or another institution. The banks are good with this - they give us access through special broker channels which are geared to getting lending approved, because that is what they do day in and day out. The 'personality' and 'communications' issues are taken out of it, so to speak. Fighting a bank makes no sense, rather lets make it a win-win.
